Evaluate how the written extract meets the requirements of a pre-production script (D1)
The written screenplay extract meets all of the requirements of the client and is suitable for purpose. It is formatted in the correct, standardised way for a script of this variety and uses all of the generally accepted industry features and notes correctly. I obtained feedback on my first draft of the script from someone with an understanding of the conventions. This led to me fixing a number of minor issues with capitalisation (the most major of which being erroneously non-capitalised sluglines), a s well as one issue with formatting wherein the names of characters speaking were centrally-aligned rather than being tabbed to the same point around the centre. Otherwise, the script was considered fit for purpose in this regard. Further feedback also brought my attention to a formatting mistake which I had made in putting some action information immediately following a slugline, rather than as a separate and independently formatted block of text.
